The DHS Athletic Department will begin issuing gold cards for the 2019-2020 school year on July 10, 2019. Summer office hours are 7am-1pm. Please note: The Athletic Office will be closed on July 11.
Every year, each athlete is required to view an Activities Code of Conduct Meeting and get an up-to-date physical for the next season in which they plan to participate. Below is the link to the Athletic Code presentation that the athlete and parent must watch as well as a link to the physical form.
Athletic registration is filled out online. Once all the online forms are complete, the athlete must bring their up-to-date physical into the athletic office to receive their gold card.
This card will be the athlete’s “Golden ticket” into his/her first day of practice or tryouts. He/She will not be able to participate until the coaches have this card in their hands.
In the event that the student loses this Gold Card after it has been issued to him/her in the office, a $5 charge will be required to receive a replacement. THIS CARD IS VERY IMPORTANT to the athlete’s participation. We highly encourage the students take responsibility for their involvement in their particular sport, and that starts with making sure that all the necessary paperwork is submitted in a timely fashion.
