Eagles News · Dunlap Eagles Varsity Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat East Peoria 4-1 on 4/11/18

Dunlap took the lead late in the game in a 4-1 victory over East Peoria on Wednesday.

East Peoria got things moving in the first inning, scoring one run when Tommy Smith singled.

Dunlap evened things up at one in the bottom of the fourth inning when Jared Holt singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

The game was tied at one with the Eagles batting in the bottom of the fifth when Zach Stirnaman doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Dunlap racked up nine hits. Holt, Luke Miller, and Jason Bollman each racked up multiple hits for theEagles. Holt went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits.


Charlie Mangieri got the win for Dunlap Eagles Varsity. He allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out nine.

Jarrot Stealy took the loss for East Peoria. He lasted six innings, allowing nine hits and four runs while striking out three.
